The following garlic products have little or no allicin potential:

  • Garlic oil capsules – no allicin potential
  • Aged garlic extract – no allicin potential
  • Garlic macerates – some allicin potential
  • Garlic powder – potential depends on processing
  • Garlic powder easily inactivated by stomach acid

Alliforce® products contain 100% allicin powder which is not affected by stomach acid and is also odourless.

Other garlic supplements such as garlic oil capsules, aged garlic extract or garlic powders contain absolutely no Allicin, instead claiming an Allicin potential of around 0.6%-1% and relying on your body to synthesize the Allicin from the supplied garlic powder. This potential is never reached, due to the acidity in the stomach, as has been shown in several clinical studies, in fact most brands do not even achieve 5% of their claimed yield.
